The following .ovpn file was used to successfully configure a client connection on the Latitude 7230:

client
dev tun
proto udp
remote openvpn.eom.dev 1194
resolv-retry infinite
nobind
persist-key
persist-tun
ca /home/eric/Desktop/vpn/cacert.pem
cert /home/eric/Desktop/vpn/client1.pem
key /home/eric/Desktop/vpn/client1.key
